What is EventStir?

EventStir brings the concept of crowdfunding to the event industry; allowing anyone to raise money for an event. Attendees no longer have to worry about buying a ticket to an empty event, hosts have a hassle-free way of raising funds, and venues get paid in full before the big day.

Is there a sign-up or service fee?

EventStir does not charge a sign-up fee, but there is a 5% service fee for each event.

What is the 'tipping point'?

The tipping point is the dollar amount that needs to be raised in order to throw the event.

When will I be charged for an event I pledge money towards?

Once the tipping point is reached. This guarantees that you will no longer have to worry about paying for a ticket to an empty event. In order to give users more flexibility pledges can be canceled at any point before the event tips.

How and when do I get paid for an event I host?

As soon as your event’s tipping point is reached all of your attendees will be charged. EventStir will then send the tipping point amount to your PayPal account within 24 hours. Any additional funds raised will be paid out 2-3 business days after fundraising ends.
